 Rent-a-Porker is for those people who would like to grow a pig for their freezer but don't have their own land. You pay £45/month for six months - this guarantees your pig. We do all the hard work, raising your pig, and then after six months we arrange to have your pig butchered, packed, weighed and labelled, just how you would expect to find it. A whole pig weighs in at about 40-50kg of meat. In terms of cost, you are paying a little more than from a supermarket - but the meat is so much tastier - and about the same as from a good butcher. Of course if you wish to come and visit your pig and maybe feed it occasionally then you can do so. That way you can see how it has been reared and be totally sure of the quality of the meat you will be getting. If a whole pig is a bit too much, then why not go halves or thirds with friends or family?
Gift-a-Pig is a local scheme which provides a way of giving a piggie present to a lover of pigs. For £10/month for six months, we will provide you with a gift certificate which tells your piggie lover that they can name their pig, can visit Fox Covert Farm to see, feed and pet their pig - and see all the other animals on the farm including Hereford cows, Jacob sheep, and of course the micro pigs. They will also be able to look at pictures of their piggie on our website.
